"Meditations" 2010

oil paint, twelve 7' x 4' pieces

This project is imagined as a series of 12 individual 7' x 4' oil paintings that capture the rhythmic movements integral to its creation. The presentation is projected from a single work, but the final piece grows organically from beginning to end. It is conceived as a meditation, either in the form of a chapel (Rothko in Houston, Matisse in Vence, Chagall in Jerusalem) or as a long wall in a public space. The installation needs approximately 70 running feet of wall space.
